we ought not to treat living creatures like shoes, which when worn with use we throw away ...

i woke up this morning think of jay adams and his dogtown crew, he was such a phenom, a style icon and an innovator in the industry. he was eaten up by sponsors, media and industry giants during his prime, exploited for his prowess and then abandoned, tossed aside when the next piece of meat came. i've seen this happen multiple times in the industry, or just in life. the good thing is jay is now living on the north shore enjoying his life. he has turned his life around and has landed on his feet, proof that you cant keep a good man down.  jay is a true inspiration to us all.  without a doubt jay adams is an icon in both the skate world as well as the surf world. thanks jay ...
